Greetings!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! We went from cool to very hot where I live. I am not sure if my poor little plants will make it since it’s scorching heat. I had waited to plant some herbs until I got back from vacation. Other than that, it’s definitely a busy time of the year. It’s been so busy that the July newsletter will be short and sweet since June was so full.
I am just a few weeks away from launching my Health Coaching program, which I’m really excited about. For now, it will be one-on-one sessions in my home. Eventually, I will add some online classes. This will allow me to serve even more people with my coaching. I believe my holistic approach to coaching will address physical well-being but will also cover mental and emotional well-being.
We have been dealing with smoke from Canada this year. My lungs don’t like it at all. Luckily, I found a solution that works. I will be sharing this with you as well in case you are experiencing the same issue.

Smoke Related Lung Remedy:
What works great for me is the NeilMed nasal irrigation. I use the one that comes with a little plastic bottle and the salt packs. When the smoke is really bad, I do the nasal irrigation twice a day. I usually do it once in the morning and once in the evening. It’s about the only thing that will clear out whatever ends up in my sinuses and lungs from the smoke. They say that the smoke that travels from Canada to the Unites States can even be toxic! Just make sure you use distilled water and don’t forget to add the salt packet!

Garden Update:
I did pull my garlic just in time. They about rotted from the excessive moisture from the cool spring. However they came out great and I plan to use them to make some of my special Garlic Honey. You can find the recipe on my Recipe Page!
As for the herbs that I waited to plant after I got back from vacation, well we will just have to see how they do.

The picture below is the nasal irrigation treatment that I was referring to. The link will be below that.

Words of Encouragement:
Vacation is always a good time to step away from regular life and reflect on what’s important in life. Truly the most important things in life are not what you find on the news. They are spending time with family and friends, enjoying natures beauty, and giving our minds a break from information overload. My Faith is very important to me too. I want to always make sure that I tend to that as well. This month, I encourage you to take some time & reflect on what is most important in life.
