1 CAN – ORGANIC BLACK BEANS (drained)
1 – MEDIUM ONION CHOPPED UP
1 – LARGE EGG
1/2 CUP – ORGANIC GLUTEN-FREE QUICK OATS
1/2 tsp – ORGANIC GARLIC POWDER
1/2 tsp – ORGANIC ONION POWDER
A PINCH OF CAYENNE PEPPER
1 tsp – SPIKE SEASONING
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
AVOCADO OIL OR SPRAY
To make Black Bean Hamburger Patties, first you place the chopped onions and drained black beans into a blender. Pulse the ingredients about 5 or 6 times. Do not over mix, or it will not turn out right. It should have a lot of full beans and onions in the mixture. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and add the egg and 1/2 cup quick oats. Mix all of it together with a large fork and mix it well. Then add all the seasonings and mix well with a fork. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. Remove from the refrigerator and shape 4 patties. Use a little organic avocado oil or spray to the frying pan. Cook 10 minutes on one side on medium heat, then flip and cook the other side for 10 minutes. Continue adding or spraying a little avocado oil while frying so they don’t get dry. You want them to be darker and crispy, but try not to burn them.
