Apple cider vinegar has many uses. The reason it cleans well is because of the antibacterial properties in it. People also like to use it in cooking and foods to enhance marinades, dressings, and to preserve foods.
Did you know that it can also be used as a natural medicine? I personally have used it for several medical conditions. Before we discuss the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, also known as ACV, I want to mention something important. If you have any health condition, you may want to speak with your health care provider. This will ensure it’s a good fit for you. I am not a doctor.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR HISTORY & THE MOTHER
The production of ACV dates back to the ancient Middle East. It eventually made its way to other parts of the world. It has probably been around so long that we may never know the true origins of its first discovery. The way it is made is by crushing apples, then squeezing out the juice. Bacteria & yeast are added to start the fermentation process. Then, sugar converts into alcohol. Finally, in the second fermentation, alcohol is converted into vinegar by an acetic acid-forming good bacteria called acetobacter.
It’s important to buy organic ACV so you don’t ingest any harmful substances like pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. You will also want to buy the kind with “The Mother” in it. The Mother has dozens of strains of bacteria, which are referred to as probiotics. The Mother also contains enzymes that help to break down foods you consume. The Mother is removed from some store bought ACV because it gives a cloudy, stringy appearance. This is the best part about it. I recommend that you buy the kind that says it has the Mother on the bottle. I would also recommend buying it in a glass jar instead of plastic so plastic does not leech into it.

Scrolling the internet, you will find many ways Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) may help you. Some say it can help with weight loss, reduce cholesterol, or lower blood sugar levels. However, I’m only going to discuss what has for sure worked for my family and I. If you want more information about ACV health benefits you can click HERE. You are free to try it out yourself to see if it may help you in other ways. If you are unsure, you can always talk with your doctor about it before you try it.

MY APPLE CIDER VINEGAR STORIES
1ST STORY
When I was nursing, I had developed mastitis and I started using Apple Cider Vinegar as a natural home remedy. My husband’s grandmother told me they give it to their dairy cows to clean out their mastitis. I decided to give it a try, and it worked! I put one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. I added a little honey and mixed it up. Then I drank it a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks. I told my doctor about it. They argued with me. They said there is no way apple cider vinegar can heal a bacterial infection like mastitis. I politely responded by saying “Well, it did.”
2ND STORY
The next time I used it was when I picked up a staff/strep infection. It happened from a toilet seat in a motel. (Always sanitize your motel toilet seats.) It was on the back side of my upper leg. It got really bad, and antibiotics were not helping after we had tried several kinds. (Hint: antibiotic resistance.) The same grandma said, “Why don’t you try ACV on it?” So I did. I soaked a paper towel and laid it on the wound. Then, I taped plastic over the top of the paper towel. I did this overnight, and it burned like fire! Nevertheless, the next morning, it pulled the entire huge infection out. It was completely better within just a few days.
3RD STORY
I drank 1 tablespoon of ACV in a glass of water with honey. I did this twice a day for a week or two to treat a bladder infection. It has also dissolved five skin tags on me. I just soaked a cotton ball with straight ACV, then put a Band-Aid over it overnight. In the morning, it’ll be a flat black spot. You’ll need to treat it like a wound for a few days.

I learned that apple cider vinegar can help heal heartburn, fungal infections, spider and bug bites, and a bunch more. If I get bit by a spider or a bug, I get a cotton ball. I usually dunk it in apple cider vinegar. Then, I put it on the bite and cover it up with a Band-Aid. The vinegar really seems to help. I’d still get it checked out by a doctor if it looks bad, though.
I’m a firm believer in the healing properties of ACV. It has worked so well for my family and I. Like anything else, everyone is different, so what works for one person may not work for another. You will probably not find many studies about these particular things. These are my personal experiences. I wanted to share them with you. This is one of my favorite home remedies, and it may just become yours as well.
